Costa Rica is a country in Central America with an area of more than 50 thousand square kilometers. More than 5 million people live in this territory. The official language is Spanish.

Translated from this language, the name of the country means "rich coast". Christopher Columbus named Costa Rica that way, but it turned out to be a mistake and there was little gold. Wealth lies in nature. The flora and fauna are very diverse. There are 12 types of rainforests here. You can meet monkeys, cougars, jaguars, porcupines, turtles and various types of butterflies. Flying fish, tuna and sailboats swim in the coastal waters.

Costa Rica has not had an army for almost 50 years. The country is safe. Here you can see volcanoes, surf, hike, paraglide, walk in national parks or jungles. Travelers come here for adventures. There is a version that pirates used to hide treasures on the islands and coves of Costa Rica.

It's always warm in the country. It is best to visit Costa Rica from December to April. During this period, the average temperature is +26°C. The rainy season starts in May. It continues until the onset of winter according to the calendar.
