History of creation
Plans to launch the Ain Dubai Ferris Wheel in an 85-storey building as part of the development of the artificial Bluewaters Island were announced in 2013, construction work began 2 years later. The project was expected to be fully completed in 2019, but due to schedule delays, it was decided that the Ferris wheel would be operational when the Expo 2020 exhibition opens.
However, due to the pandemic, the time of commissioning was postponed again, and the attraction opened in October 2021. After a year of operation, the Ain Dubai Ferris Wheel was closed, explaining the need for maintenance. In 2023, it became known about the closure for an indefinite period without explanation. The reopening took place in 2024.

The construction used 33% more steel (11,200 tons) than the Eiffel Tower in Paris. The most powerful cranes were engaged in assembling the parts. This has led to the attraction being able to withstand even the strongest winds and extreme temperatures. It is capable of withstanding storms at speeds of 100 miles per hour. How to get
You can take the subway to Jabal Ali station on the red line. After exiting, you need to cross the bridge to the opposite side. There will be a bus stop nearby where you can take the NoF57 bus and get off at Bluewaters Island 1, which is a 10-minute walk from the Ferris Wheel.
You can also get to the DMCC metro station on the red line. A BM3 water taxi departs from the station. An alternative option is to take a taxi or a rented car.
