Madinat Jumeirah is one of the most popular places for a comfortable stay in the UAE. The Dubai resort, which occupies 40 hectares, is an elite one. It has all the necessary conditions for a luxurious pastime at any time of the year. Families with children often come here.
History
The idea of building the complex belongs to the Jumeirah Group. The goal was to open a place for recreation with equipped buildings, but to create the feeling of an ancient city on the territory of the complex, where the spirit of oriental culture was preserved.
Traditional Arab settlements inspired the architects, so here you can see wind-trap towers, narrow streets, carved facades of buildings with courtyards. In 2000, they began designing Madinat Jumeirah, and in 2003, the Mina A'Salam Hotel opened. The company received permission to expand the project in 2012, and 3 years later new hotels were built, followed by other facilities.
Description
40 hectares of landscapes are stylized as one of the typical Arab cities. Madinat Jumeirah consists of the Jumeirah Al Qasr, Jumeirah Mina A'Salam, and Jumeirah Al Naseem hotels with a capacity of 1,000 rooms, about 30 beach houses, and 7 villas. Shopping takes place at Souq Madinat market with 90 shops, which is located in the central part of the resort.
There is a theater, conference halls and assembly halls. Large-scale events are held at Madinat Arena, which can accommodate 4,500 people at a time. If you need a more relaxing holiday, it is recommended to go to the kilometer-long beach, walk through parks with manicured lawns, see marble fountains and admire the local landscapes.
Development
Over time, Madinat Jumeirah has developed into a full-fledged neighborhood with walking areas, restaurants and other facilities. Unofficially, it is called the "Dubai Venice" because of the 5-kilometer-long canals that can be navigated by abra boats.
The creators of the resort have received permission to use the channels for the rehabilitation of sick turtles. When they recover, they are released. The reptiles came to the coastal area of Madinat Jumeirah when there were no hotels yet, and the society decided to support the animals by providing the necessary support to recover from their wounds.
How to get there
To get to Madinat Jumeirah, you need to take bus No81 and get to the Burj Al Arab Hotel stop. It is necessary to walk about 400 meters to the destination. A shuttle departs from the Mall of the Emirates metro station, which stops at the hotels.
You can board the Abra boat at Abra Station. But it is impossible to swim through all the channels, since most of them are designed for the movement of hotel guests, which increases their comfort level during their vacation.
