The Ibn Battuta Mall Theme Mall is located in Dubai. It was named after a famous 14th-century traveler from Morocco. He traveled to India, Egypt, Tunisia, Persia (now Iran), China and Andalusia. The merchant's name was Muhammad ibn Abdullah ibn Muhammad al-Lawati at-Tanji, and he spent 30 years exploring the world.
The basic concept
Ibn Battuta Mall, which opened in 2005, is divided into 6 zones dedicated to the countries visited by the great traveler. Each entrance bears the name of the country whose courtyard it represents. The idea is for visitors to the mall to be able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere and look at the architecture of different countries while in one place.
It seems that everything here is thought out to the smallest detail, and in each zone there is a landmark that characterizes the prototype country. For example, in "China" you can see a 25-meter fishing junk boat, recreated Egypt is decorated with frescoes with ancient temples, and in "Andalusia" there are replicas of the fountains of the Alhambra.
