The 360-meter Almas Tower is recognized as the tallest skyscraper on an artificially created island near Lake Emaraikh. Previously, it was called the largest high-rise in Dubai, but later this place was occupied by the Burj Khalifa, whose height reaches 828 meters. Despite this, the facility has retained its popularity and is unlikely to ever lose its appeal. Both tourists and residents of the UAE come here.
History of creation
The building got its name because the gemstone exchange is located here, offices are open that process precious stones, including diamonds, and sell them. The ultra-high skyscraper was built from 2005 to 2009. A year later, the Diamond Tower was awarded the 8th place in the Emporis Skyscraper Award, which strengthened its prestige throughout the country. The architect of the tower is Atkins Middle East, the developer was Taisei Corporation from Japan, which worked with Arabian Construction Co. Much attention was paid to security issues. In 2018, there was a fire in the tower, everyone who was in the building was evacuated, there were no casualties, and the damage was minimized.

In order to make it easier for visitors to get around the Almas Tower and get a good look at it from all sides, a pedestrian path has been created.
