Yas Waterworld is a water park on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, operating since January 2013. The World Flowriding Championship is held here. According to the rules, participants slide on an artificial wave on a board in a special pool. The competition looks exciting, because it's difficult to keep your balance in such a state. In 2018, the facility was nominated for the "Best Water Park in the World" competition, and this made it even more popular.

Yas Waterworld covers an area of 15 hectares. There are over 40 attractions, slippery slides, and entertainment of various difficulty levels at the disposal of visitors. Bandit Bomber (550 m) is recognized as the longest suspended slide in the entire Middle East. You need to be prepared for the fact that the attraction accelerates to 60 km / h, the route runs through almost the entire water park. The trailers are suspended on rails, and the passengers' feet hang freely in the air. They can play with water cannons and pour water over other people.
The Marah Fortress maze castle with mini slides with twisty turns, a bucket waterfall and cannon water cannons is popular among children. At The Pearl Diving Experience attraction, you need to dive to the bottom of the pool in search of a shell. If you manage to complete the mission, you can take the pearl home as a keepsake or make an ornament out of it to your liking.
The basic concept
The Legend of the lost pearl was invented for Yas Waterworld. The main character is a girl named Dana, who has to go on a journey to return the pearl grain. Her path will be difficult and sometimes unpredictable and dangerous, but she will do everything possible to find the treasure, because it is the key to prosperity and wealth.
The story unites all activities, and adults and children can follow the heroine and contribute to the search for the pearl. This jewel is mounted on the highest slide, it can be seen from outside the park. Regardless of the choice of attraction, everyone needs to follow the safety rules. In some cases, age and weight restrictions are provided. It is also forbidden to take animals with you or eat in the water. There are special facilities for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

You can't bring food with you, except for baby food. Restaurants and fast food outlets are open on the territory of the Yas Waterworld Water Park. Fried chicken, pizza or noodles are served at Chubby's Kitchen. Salads, sandwiches, burgers, and barbecue wings can be ordered at Dana's Diner. Fresh fruits, salads, smoothies, and rolls are sold at Salma's Snack Shack. A special Slush It Up stand is installed for mixing slushies and frozen drinks. You can eat bulgur at Chubby's, and ice cream at Skinnys Frozen Treats.
Large free parking is available for guests of the Yas Waterworld Water Park, towels are provided for rent by the staff, and special dryers are available throughout the park. As a souvenir of a vacation or as a gift to friends, you can buy goods in souvenir shops. Usually people take pearl towels, waterproof smartphone cases, bracelets, dates or candies.
How to get
Yas Waterworld can be reached by bus or taxi. On the way, you should focus on the Yas Mall and the Ferrari World amusement park, which are located next to the park. Bus No. 190 runs from the center of Abu Dhabi to Yas Island, and Yas Express buses run around the island, stopping at the main tour facilities. If you have a spontaneous desire to go to the Yas Waterworld water park, you do not need to go home for a swimsuit or glasses, you can buy them in shops inside the building.
