Clay sculpture park
It just looks charming. A park of clay sculptures that appeared on Chinese soil not so long ago, in a small town called Tanshan, owned by the province of Hebei. This park arose in 2008, but has already managed to acquire many fans and become a real attraction of this area.
The creator of clay Park is the talented sculptor Qin Shipin, who, using this natural material, was able to recreate an exhibition of the oldest paintings by the famous artist Zhang Zeru, which belongs to the Song Dynasty. This series of paintings, which inspired the sculptor to create a clay miracle, is called « Along the river ».
What is not in this clay courtyard: whole houses with neat roofs and even fence are built, large fishing boats with fishermen are placed near the river; citizens and officials roam the streets carefree; peasants tirelessly pull carts; near their shops there are many merchants, merchants. In a word, life boils along the river.
In this place there is not one thousand of a wide variety of sculptures. The length of the clay sculpture park is 300 meters, and its width is about 60 meters. All submitted works on this area are placed in 2/3 of natural size. You can safely say that this park simply has no analogues in the whole world.
Visitors to the Clay Park are happy to roam the streets of the ancient city, whose life was simply in great detail able to convey clay affairs to the master.
The sculptor dreamed of creating such a miracle since 2005, but the opportunity to realize his fantasies appeared only by 2008. Here all the work was done by the hands of this sculptor, as well as by his two accomplices. The master also managed to finance this project, the exact cost of which no one knows.
Now the author receives income from his invention, because the entrance to clay Park is paid, but this does not bother anyone, since there really is something to see. It is always full of tourists who are transported past the will to the ancient world of the Song Dynasty.
The Tanshan city clay sculpture park has become a popular local attraction. There are no restrictions and visitors move freely throughout the territory, plunging into the atmosphere of the ancient Chinese village of the Song Dynasty.
