Ko Samui

Koh Samui is one of the most beautiful islands in Thailand, which has preserved its pristine nature. Blue lagoons, clean white beaches, and a rich underwater world make Koh Samui ideal for any type of vacation.

The island's area is only about 230 km2, almost the entire part of which, until recently, was covered with impenetrable jungle. The 15 km journey from one part of the island to the other went through impenetrable jungle and took a day. It wasn't until the 1970s that the first tourists arrived here, and in the 90s Koh Samui became the second most popular holiday destination in Thailand after Phuket.

There are two distinct climatic seasons on the island, as in all of Thailand. The rainy season runs from May to December and the dry weather runs from January to April. It is worth noting that the rains are very heavy, but they are short-lived and cannot spoil the rest. The entire coastline is covered with beaches, lagoons, and there are 34 beaches in Koh Samui. The largest and most beautiful is Chaweng Beach, which is 6 km long. Both five-star hotels and budget bungalows have been built near the beach. The beach is covered with fine sand with a slight slope to the sea. During the day, people relax and practice water sports here, and at night Chaweng Beach becomes a huge dance arena. Tongsai beach is good for families, there are few hotels, and a huge rock hides a closed beach, where nudists prefer to relax. The second most popular beach is Lamai. There are often waves and deep sea here, but it is worth considering that, depending on the season, there are dangerous currents at low tide. In general, there are many beaches on the island and each with its own twist.

Of the island's attractions, Angthong National Park is worth noting, consisting of 42 small islands covered with tropical forests and a rich underwater world, it is also called the "Golden Pool" because of its great popularity among scuba divers.
