History of creation
It was planned that the Motiongate park would open its doors in October 2016, but due to delays in the construction schedule, Motiongate has been operational since December 16, 2016. In March 2020, he was temporarily out of work due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In 2022, thanks to 2 additional "John Wick" and "Now You See Me" film franchises, the attraction has become larger. In the spring of 2025, a further expansion of the project was announced. It is expected that this will help attract even more visitors and make their stay more comfortable.

Motiongate Park is managed by Dubai Parks and Resorts and is divided into zones based on movie masterpieces from iconic studios that are known all over the world. It's about:
- Columbia Pictures presents attractions based on "Ghostbusters", "Monsters on Vacation", "The Green Hornet", "Otherworld".
- The DreamWorks space is dedicated to Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon.
- The Lionsgate zone was built on the basis of the films "John Wick", "The Hunger Games".
There is a live performance by artists at the Hollywood Theater. It is often crowded near the attractions "Aerial Adventure with penguins", "Soaring dragons", "Race in Madagascar". Next to the main venues is the Smurf Village with 5 attractions and the famous roller coaster. Studio Central has an entrance area with shops, cafes and restaurants, which are also decorated in Hollywood style. In between entertainment, you can buy souvenirs, goods in the style of popular movies and cartoons, taste Arabic, Italian, Chinese dishes or appreciate the fabulous cuisine.
Annual events
Traditionally, Motiongate Park hosts "Fear Nights" in October. In 2018, they included the fear zones and the Saw maze. In 2019, there were "Screen Horrors" with photo booths from famous horror films. The ghosts of the old cemetery were decorated in a storytelling show. A year later, there was horror in the theater, the tradition continues. Despite the special effects and tense atmosphere, all events are absolutely safe.
The haunted movie theater shows legends from the past. Guests are immersed in the atmosphere of "nyctophobia" (fear of the dark), their mission is to find a way out in 6 minutes. Mysterious clowns who are not invited to children's parties are passing through the fear zone. Halloween Fright Night allows you to take photos of the Boogeyman and other characters walking along the park boulevard. In December, Motiongate Park turns into a winter wonderland, where light shows and festive performances are organized. It is customary to make wishes near a 12-meter Christmas tree decorated with toys, and they say that they come true.
How to get
The DPR1 bus route passes through the Ibn Battuta bus stop from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Upon arrival, transfer to the internal shuttle of the complex to the Motiongate Park. If you take the subway, you need to take the red line to the UAE Exchange, from which you need to take a bus or taxi. As an alternative, car rental is suitable, which has been available in the UAE since the age of 21.
