Hitachi Seaside Park
Hitachi Japan National Seaside Park, located in. Hitatinaka ( Ibaraki Prefecture ), arose in 1991 at the site of the former American military base and currently occupies 1.2 km2.
This is a great place to relax for the whole family - in addition to contemplating the most beautiful landscapes, you can swim in the pool, have fun in the moon park and chat in the zoo with animals, and amazingly beautiful flowers here can be observed throughout the year. In a certain season, some kind of flower blooms in the park. Flower fields spread on the slope of Miharashi, from where a beautiful picture opens onto the Pacific Ocean.
Heathachi Park is especially famous for its blue non-mophiles — with transparent blue petals. During the year, in a certain period, more than 5 million blue nemophiles bloom throughout the park. This period is called the harmony of non-mophiles and thousands of enthusiastic visitors gather to see this riot of blue colors. Floral festivals are often held in the Khitachi seaside park, for which whole fields of tulips, poppies, daffodils, lilies, sakura, etc. are grown. Once a year, one of the most breathtaking festivals is held - "Harmony and Nemophiles", when millions of non-mophiles bloom in the hills in early May.
In addition to non-mophiles, more than a million daffodils blooming among pines, approximately 170 species of tulips and many other colors are growing in Hitachi Park. The park is covered with forests, gardens, a mini-park for entertainment and kilometers of walking and cycling paths.
