Tobu World Square is a theme park in Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture, Japan. It features miniature reproductions of famous buildings, monuments and architectural complexes from around the world. The Eiffel Tower, the Great Wall of China, the Egyptian pyramids and many other landmarks are recreated at a scale of 1:25. The careful detailing lets visitors examine architectural features that can be difficult to notice on the real buildings.

Its collection includes 102 models of famous structures from 22 countries and regions, including UNESCO World Heritage sites. Tobu World Square opened in 1993. It is divided into six zones: Modern Japan, America, Egypt, Europe, Asia and Japan. The displays range from modern skyscrapers to ancient monuments, palaces, temples and traditional buildings, allowing visitors to compare architectural styles from different parts of the world during a single walk.
Famous landmarks and miniature residents
Among the best-known exhibits are the Eiffel Tower, Notre-Dame Cathedral, the Great Wall of China and the Egyptian pyramids. Tiny figures of tourists, workers and passers-by create scenes of everyday life around the buildings. Viewed from a low angle, the models can look surprisingly realistic.
Gardens and seasonal scenery
The models are surrounded by real trees, shrubs and ornamental plants, including bonsai. The park becomes lush and green in spring and summer, while autumn brings golden and reddish foliage. During the colder season, some displays are illuminated in the evening.
Guided tours and visiting
Free guided tours introduce the buildings, their history and details that visitors might otherwise overlook. A visit usually takes around one and a half to two hours, though photography and close examination can take longer. All exhibition areas are outdoors, so the experience depends partly on the weather.
How to get there
The park is located at 209-1 Kinugawa Onsen Ohara, Nikko, Tochigi Prefecture. Tobu World Square Station is just a short walk from the entrance. Visitors can also travel to Kinugawa-Onsen Station and continue by bus. Rail routes connect Tokyo with the Nikko and Kinugawa Onsen area, with the exact journey depending on the train selected.

A visit can be combined with Edo Wonderland, a theme park exploring Japan's Edo period, or with a relaxing stay at Kinugawa Onsen's hot springs. The city of Nikko is also home to the Nikko Toshogu shrine and temple complex, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
