Chambord Castle

Among the wonderful architectural buildings located in the valley of the Laura River in France, stands an excellent castle-fortress called Chambord. This magnificent building was erected in honor of a lady who was close to the heart of Francis I. Chambord Castle is considered the most famous and majestic, it simply amazes with its grace.

Chambord Castle

The castle is a wonderful representative of the Renaissance. There are at least 400 rooms in this huge architectural creation of mankind. Only Versailles can truly compete with the snow-white beauty on the riverbank. There is an excellent manicured forest park around Chambord Castle, where the local nobility, even in our time, likes to arrange a royal hunt. There is a large wall around the perimeter of the park, which stretches close to 32 km.

Chambord Castle itself was ambiguously completed and rebuilt, but everywhere there are traces of King Francis I, who was fond of hunting and architecture. The king's estate consists of the main building – a five-story dungeon, as well as two adjacent ones. Each floor of the main building has four square and four round rooms. A distinctive feature of the castle's architecture is also the stairs, of which there are as many as 77 pieces. The very layout of the building is quite unusual and confusing, which is even legendary, which tells us that such a chaotic arrangement of rooms is not for nothing, but so that the king's favorites could not meet. A rather interesting idea is the spiral staircase, which has two entrances. It is a unique idea of its kind, which belongs to Leonardo da Vinci himself. Another attraction of Chambord Castle is attributed to this great man – a magnificent terrace from which you can admire the variety of local towers, chimneys and other buildings.

The castle has preserved royal furniture, tableware, as well as household items that are presented to the public. The royal suite is also on display here, and even Francisco L's bed itself. Almost all rooms in the mansion are decorated with a wonderful fireplace. The main hall of the castle is located on the third floor, where at one time there were magnificent royal banquets.

Chambord Castle has museums where hunting implements are displayed, although the local park itself belongs to the country's natural heritage lists.

Chambord Castle is one of the most visited attractions in France. Various exhibitions are presented to tourists, and in the evening hundreds of light bulbs are lit here, which create a fabulous atmosphere.
