Reed Flute Cave is the most beautiful place on the planet, located in China. The cave is hidden in a rock surrounded by bamboo thickets used by the local population for the production of flutes. Reed flute cave

The reed flute cave is tens of millions of years old. There used to be a sea here, but over time the rocks rose, revealing a mysterious cave. Over time, the cave was overgrown with stalactites and stalagmites, and nature made stunning caves and gorges, to which people gave romantic names: Dragon Tower, Dawn in the Lion Grove, Crystal Palace, Pine in the snow, as well as other works of nature that stopped in motionless silence under its arches. The multi-colored lighting of the halls provides additional beauty, and all this is reflected in the underground lake.

The first people visited this cave around 792 - it was found out from the drawings and text painted on the walls of the cave. The inscriptions were made during the period when China was ruled by the Tang Dynasty. This time is generally considered the best for China, when it was ahead of all countries in development. The cave was reopened in 1940, and every year it attracts more and more tourists.

The Palace of Nature is sometimes called the cave for its magnificent pavilions, beautiful chambers, and paradisiacal views. Quartz minerals such as jasper and agate can be found in the limestone walls. The rays of the sun striking their way through the foliage are impressive. There are many legendary snakes in the reed flute cave. For example, there is a legend that a poet came to the reed flute cave for inspiration, but was so mesmerized by the beauty that he did not even move and eventually turned into stone. This stone now stands in the cave, and in front of it there is a huge white block, like a fabulous waterfall.

The largest grotto in the cave was called the "Crystal Palace of the Dragon King", it can accommodate almost a thousand people, which is why the cave was adapted as an air raid shelter during the Second World War. There is a huge white column in the Crystal Palace, which the Chinese called the magic staff of the Dragon King. According to the ancient Chinese satirical novel Journey to the West, this staff was asked by the Monkey King Sun Wukong from the Dragon King. But the Dragon King did not like this idea and Sun Wukong had to forcibly take the staff, destroying the dragon army, which included snails and jellyfish.

The underground lake in the reed flute cave is also striking in its beauty, like a mirror reflecting neon lights. If you look into it for a long time, you can feel how everything around you is spinning, as if in a huge whirlpool.
