Rosa Khutor
Rosa Khutor is one of the largest ski resorts in Russia, located in the village of Krasnaya Polyana. In 2014, the Winter Olympic Games were held here.
The resort is 40 kilometers from Adler and covers almost 2000 hectares of the slopes of the Aibg ridge. The height difference in Rosa Khutor ranges from 575 to 2509 meters above sea level. For lovers of ski holidays, more than 70 km of tracks are presented, among which both beginners and avid athletes will find suitable for themselves. Thanks to 18 lifts capable of serving up to 10 thousand people daily, you can easily climb to any top. Although Sochi has a subtropical humid climate, but this does not interfere with the ski run, because due to the artificial snowing of the tracks, the duration of the ski season on the high mountain tracks is almost six months.
The projection of the tracks for skiing was carried out by Bernard Russy, in the past Olympic champion in high-speed descent. On the northern slope of the Aibga ridge there is a complex of 20 km of tracks designed for competitions in slalom, slalom giant, high-speed descent. In addition, Rosa Khutor has an Extreme Park for snowboarding and freestyle.
For the convenience of tourists, at the very bottom of the cable car there are ski equipment rental points, ice rink, newcomers can consult where to ride in the instructor service. Above 1170 meters, tracks with lifts begin.
You can rest at any time in Rosa Khutor. In summer, along the picturesque mountain slopes, hiking trails open: Panorama, Magic Forest, Lake District, Protected Gorge. Those who like cycling can rent a bike and go on specially equipped tracks: X-traverse, Rosa – Downhill, B-One. You can check the knack and courage in the Panda Park rope complex, where 3 routes are laid at an altitude of 23 meters from the ropes.
