Brief description
On the site of the Adler Arena there was previously a training ground for speed skaters; it was called “Oval”. The indoor skating center consists of two independent running tracks. It seats up to 8,000 spectators in its stands. The athletes have 15 spacious locker rooms, rooms for judges and coaches, rooms for the press and administrative needs at their disposal. The facade of the Adler Arena is entirely made of special stained glass, this makes the entire building very light and airy, despite its impressive size. Its height is 25 meters, on which there are two spacious floors with high ceilings.
Features of the Adler Arena
To test the readiness of the Adler Arena sports complex, the Russian All-Around Speed Skating Championship was held on its premises in 2012, and the World Speed Skating Championships were organized here in 2013. After the 22nd Winter Olympic Games, they decided to refurbish the arena, and today there is a table tennis center in this place.
