Vinh Nghiem Pagoda is a Buddhist complex with an area of approximately 6,000 square meters. It is an important spiritual center where people come to pray. You can come regardless of religion. History
Construction work was carried out in 1964-1971. The launch of the large-scale project began on the initiative of the Buddhist monks Thit Tam Zak and Thit Thanh Kiem, who came from the north of Vietnam and planned to strengthen the Buddhist tradition in the south of the country.
The name of the Vinh Nghiem Pagoda translates as "eternal reverence." Its creators wanted to emphasize the connection with the ancient Vinh Pagoda.‑Ngyeem is located in Bakjiang province, which is called Baknyin in some sources. The new complex has become a continuation of traditions, and today it is a modern major center of Mahayana Buddhism in Ho Chi Minh City.
Description
Architect Nguyen Ba Lang, who was educated in Japan, worked on the project. In the appearance of the Vinh Nghiem Pagoda, the influence of Japanese culture on the master is noticeable. This is especially evident in the strict lines and silhouette of the seven-tiered tower. She also participated in the construction Japanese‑The Vietnamese association, and some elements, such as the bell, are associated with Japanese temples. This is a manifestation of international Buddhist ties.
Details, including cornices and carvings, are made in the style of Vietnamese temple art. Vinh Nghiem pagoda became one of the first pagodas where reinforced concrete was used for temple construction. Thanks to this, the builders were able to build a tower with a height of about 40 meters and a spacious main hall without internal columns. The complex became one of the key Buddhist centers of Ho Chi Minh City after its opening in 1971. Not only prayer services and ceremonies are held here, but they are also engaged in educational activities. The lecture hall and library are open.

You can also take a taxi or a rented vehicle. The trip from the center takes an average of 10 minutes, but there may be traffic jams during rush hour.
