Volcano Tizdar
The Tizdar volcano is located in the Krasnodar Territory near the village of Za Rodina. This is an extinct mud volcano, in the crater of which everyone can swim. Alternative name ─ Azovskaya Sopka, a mud treatment resort is currently operating here. The name also belongs to the mountain located next door. The word "Tizdar" belongs to the group of Turkic languages and translates as "main".
Description of the mud volcano
The Tizdar volcano began its active activity about 10 million years ago, and only a hundred years ago, in 1919, its last eruption occurred, during which the volcano lost its cone-shaped shape. In place of the crater, there is only a round lake, in which tourists rest today. By the way, the Tizdar Volcano is still active, albeit very slowly. That is, the mud in the pool is renewed daily, rising from a depth of 300 meters to the earth's surface.
The lake is small, about 20x30 meters. People say that its depth is several meters, but there is no way to verify this, since clay literally pushes to the surface, and you can only lie horizontally in the lake, warming yourself in the mud embrace. The mud of the Tizdar Volcano has healing properties, which is why these places are so popular among tourists.
Healing mud of the volcano
Bathing in a mud crater can improve the functioning of the lymphatic system, metabolism, blood supply to all organs, cleanses the skin, and restores the acid-base balance. When visiting the mud volcano Tizdar, the body is saturated with a variety of trace elements. The positive effect of mud on human health is so great that it is undesirable to stay in the pool for more than 20 minutes. Then it is recommended to dry the dirt on the body a little in the sunlight and wash it off into the sea, which can be easily reached on foot, since the seashore is 300 meters from the volcano.

For an additional fee, you can stay in a hotel room and enjoy SPA treatments. There is a closed 24-hour parking for cars, a luggage storage, a local wine tasting shop and many kiosks with delicious ice cream. The complex welcomes guests during the warmer months from May to September.
