How to get to the island

As soon as you get to the island, you are immediately greeted by macaques waving green flags, and the path goes deep into the dense green forest.

The reserve was founded in 1965 and today it is home to about 2,000 macaques. They are the main inhabitants of the island and are carefully protected by the state. This is truly a paradise for them: the abundance of various fruits, the presence of caves of any size and depth, and the rich nature have become ideal homes for macaques. And the most important thing is that the climate here is comfortable for them.

There is also an opportunity to feed the monkeys, but you need to be very careful: macaques fight, they can take away a bag or a treat from visitors. 95% of the island is an impenetrable jungle, but the rest is conveniently located for visitors. Macaques freely jump from a branch into the pool, tumble in the water and play with each other.
