Swiss National Park
In the Engadin Valley, which belongs to Switzerland, is the Swiss National Park. This reserve was founded in 1914 and occupied an area of 172.4 km2. The park includes the territory covered by the Alps, the height of which, in a given area, ranges from 1400 to 3174 meters above sea level.
The area of the Swiss National Park is quite diverse, because it includes forests, meadows, mountains, water covers. Also rich enough is the animal world of the reserve. The local nature develops on its own, because human hands do not touch it. In this area there are at least 650 different plants. Among them, typical representatives of the protected area are Edelweiss Alpine, which for more than a century in a row people collected in baskets. This multi-year grass with a white coating of the upper leaves, spreads on the slopes of the mountains with limestone. Alpine poppy is visible high enough in the mountains, which strengthens the local loose soil with its roots. Tourists are very attracted to the plant, which grows to 40 cm and has a yellowish orange color. This is a local Wormwood godson, home to a mountainous area in the east, near the Inn River.
Mountain forest cover, in this territory, plays a very important role in nature, because it not only cleanses the air of the park, but also protects the area from the rise of avalanches. Forest in this area is represented by such tree species as: pine, cedar, larch, as well as spruce.
The local alpine meadows simply fascinate with a variety of flowering colors. It is impossible to count the varieties of these wild plants, among which are the lyutk, edelweiss, bitterness.
The highlands of the Swiss National Park are characterized by dry climatic conditions and scarce soil. In this area, it is difficult to adapt to life for plants and animals, due to constant winds, soil erosion, as well as low air temperature.
In the Swiss National Reserve you can see animals at a fairly close distance. Goats, deer, hares, groundhogs and many other four-legged ones are common here. Silence in the park is disturbed by the singing of birds, which are quite a wide variety on these lands.
Tourists who have visited the reserve in Switzerland are offered a walk along a specially designed tourist trail. But it is strictly forbidden to make bonfires, put up tents, ride bicycles and generally leave behind some traces of your stay. For each offense, you will have to pay a fine.
A walk in the park will surely please you with your virgin natural beauty, no matter what period you get here. But, nevertheless, the journey will be more fascinating in the spring-summer season, when local mountains take refuge in wild carpets.
