Beautiful harbor
The beautiful harbor is a national park on the Black Sea coast in Crimea. The park was created in 2009 on an area of 109 km2, but in 2014 it was renamed Tarkhankutsky.
The National park is located on the Tarkhankut peninsula, which is covered mainly by steppe territories and gullies cutting into the peninsula. Gullies are formed due to the effects of surf and storms. The entire territory of Tarkhankutsky Park is divided into five zones, depending on the importance: cultural heritage sites, recreational, nature reserve, territory for economic purposes, as well as a specially protected area. Of the attractions of the "Beautiful Harbor", it is especially worth noting the "Bolshoy Castel Gully", the Atlesh tract, where you can see the remains of Scythian mounds and settlements, sites of primitive people, ancient settlements of the Greeks. The beauty of Atlesh's nature has inspired many filmmakers. Films such as "Pirates of the 20th Century", "Amphibian Man", "Humans and Dolphins" were shot here. The park is home to the Dzhangul Nature Reserve, whose name means "Flower of the Soul" in Farsi. According to some travelers, there is a huge source of "positive energy" here, which can be found in Tibet or Buryatia.
For the development of tourism, 5 routes have been created in the park: 3 for hiking and 2 for cyclists. There are also special parking lots for wild tourism. Parking in such a camp will cost 55 rubles per person per day. Diving enthusiasts should go to the Atlesh tract, kitesurfingers and windsurfers should go to Lake Liman or to Karadzin Bay.
There are many rare representatives of the animal and plant world in the Beautiful Harbor National Park. For example, here you can find a rare white-bellied seal, stone crab, iron satyr and Euphemus dawn butterflies. You can also meet cormorants, cranes, bustards, koolans, saigas and more than 50 species of animals. You can easily get here and explore the caves, arches, rocky shores, warm sea, coves, gullies by boarding a bus in Simferopol or Sevastopol.
