Valençay Castle

A wonderful architectural historical monument is the Castle of Valence, which is located in the French Loire Valley and is protected by UNESCO. The construction of this historically important facility lasted for more than a century.

Initially, the castle was an ordinary fortification in the place where the Gallo-Roman population was located. After some time, a very small castle was erected here, from which the Guards' hall reached our time, which was located near the Front Courtyard, but you can get into it by walking through a long corridor.

The way in which the castle of Valence is presented to modern times is directly due to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, under Napoleon, Charles Talleyrand. It was at this time that rich lands were bought, on which wonderful vineyards, dense forests grew, and the castle of Valence was also located. By that time, the palace housed close to 100 rooms and at least 20 apartments.

The ponderous and solemn Empire style prevails in the interior of the castle of Valence. Among the museum exhibits is a gorgeous exhibition of vintage cars that date back to the early 20th century. The castle is surrounded by a beautiful park area, which is designed in a free English style. Both residents of the country and numerous guests like to stroll in such wonderful surroundings.
