Bohemian Switzerland
Bohemian Switzerland – is a magnificent reserve that is simply enchanted by its beauty. It is located in the northwestern part of the Czech Republic, where the border with the German national park Saxon Switzerland passes. Many tourists are simply in love with this place, because here you can have a wonderful rest, forgetting about the city bustle.
In Czech Switzerland there are boarding houses and holiday homes, the prices of which are relatively expensive.
The highlight of Czech Switzerland is the original sandstone rocks, which have different sizes. Their surroundings are forests and wonderful rivers. There is also the highest European rock called « Pravchitska Bran ». It is the main natural attraction of the park and has the appearance of a rocky arch. This pearl of the reserve, which was formed not one thousand years ago, has a height of 16 meters, and its width is close to 26 meters. Near this area, a wonderful castle called the Falcon Nest hid among the rocks.
Another attraction of Czech Switzerland is the Clari - Aldringen Palace. This building has the appearance of a hunting lodge, where in our time there is an excellent gallery of photographs depicting landscapes of Czech lands. There is also a restaurant serving delicious dishes, in addition, from its windows you can admire the natural wealth of the reserve.
Tourists gather in the town of Khrzensko, which is located in Czech Switzerland, to purchase a wonderful souvenir in the form of a fabulous character. This area is the lowest point in the whole country.
On the lands of the reserve is the village of Khrzhipska, which became famous thanks to its ancient glass workshop, where « bohemian glass » has long been manufactured. Village guests are shown the stages of manufacturing glass products. They can be purchased at stores that are scattered throughout the park.
Tourists are also very interested in the local excursions to the mines, where silver was previously mined.
Falkenstein Castle – is a wonderful building, which is located high in the mountains, from where a magnificent view opens. It is another attraction of Czech Switzerland.
Czech Switzerland in 1972 was assigned the status of a National Reserve. This was facilitated by huge canyons, wonderful valleys with field plants, as well as velvet forests, which is located along the Elba River.
