Another remarkable activity of the aquarium is the wonderful exposition, which presents the Barrier Reef, as well as its inhabitants. This amazing natural phenomenon stretches along one of the shores of the Australian continent for as long as 2 thousand km. An idea of this area, its ecosystem and colorful underwater life can be told in the walls of the Sydney Aquarium. This remarkable exposition began work in 1998. The total territory it occupies is equal to 370 m².

Favorite visitors to the aquarium have nice little fur seals that can be seen from a special observation deck or through the glass walls of the tunnel. The neighbors of these funny animals are small penguins that belong to an exposition called « Southern Ocean ».

The rather unusual inhabitants of the aquarium appear to be funny dugons, brought here in 2008. In a pool called « Mermaid Lagoon » you can watch guinea pigs.
