Most of all, there are wisteria in Kawachi Fuji. As you know, wisteria is the symbol of Japan and in Japanese they are called "Fuji". The most famous mountain in Japan, Fujiyama, bears the name of this beautiful flower and literally means "Wisteria Mountain". In Japan, "fuji" wisteria, or as it is also called in Europe – wisteria, symbolizes protection, healing, pure feminine beauty, poetry, and youth. The flower is very popular, it is widespread throughout Japan, and, it is worth noting, it is not even inferior in popularity to sakura - cherry blossom. Because of its pleasant fragrance, wisteria is also used for the production of perfumes by such fashion houses as Nina Ricci, Elizabeth Arden, Dolce and Gabbana. Japanese wisteria can be found in all shades of the rainbow, and its hanging branches look great on special tunnel-shaped frames. Of course, the most popular and most beautiful such flower tunnel is located in the Kawachi Fuji Garden, and is called the Wisteria Tunnel. The height of this plant reaches 15 meters, which allows you to create huge frames to support the vines. There are 9 species found in East Asia and North America.

To get to the peak of wisteria bloom, when you can take great pictures of its lush clusters, you need to come to Kawachi Fuji in mid-May. You will also be able to see other flowers in the garden, which are grown in greenhouses. However, at other times the flower garden will be beautiful. In early spring, plums bloom there, followed by daffodils, hyacinths and tulips. In April and May, the garden flashes with bright colors of rhododendrons and azaleas. 1,500 rose bushes bloom in May and June. Summer in Kawachi Fuji is the time for clematis, hydrangeas, and irises. Purple saffron blooms last. And next spring, the park opens its doors again to amaze tourists with waterfalls of colorful wisteria.
