Powis Castle
Powys Castle, surrounded by a magnificent garden, has found its place among Wales, in England. The charming garden of Powys Castle is known far beyond the borders of the country. Powys Castle dates back to the reign of the Welsh kings of the 12th century. Of course, the building itself and its beautiful garden have changed their appearance more than once over time. The entire castle complex has managed to reach modern times. There is a beautiful courtyard here, where a small courtyard with an outdoor courtyard is concentrated. It heads in a south-westerly direction and it is through it that travelers pass before entering the castle. The oldest building of the palace is the tower, located on the northeastern edge of the courtyard.
The Powys Castle garden itself is located on a small slope and has many neat yew figures that present topiary art. In addition to these magnificent trees, boxwood grows in large numbers. The entire garden area is located on four main terraces, which were previously cut into the rock slopes back in the 1770s. The French Adrian Duval was actively engaged in the beautification of the garden area. Under the leadership of this man, a fountain system was also organized here, which was located on the territory until 1809. Magnificent flowering perennial plants grow in the local greenhouse in winter, and with the arrival of spring they are planted in flower beds again. There is a wonderful greenhouse in the garden, where amazing tropical plants are rampant, as well as a gorgeous orchard.
The Powys Castle Garden holds the title of a British garden with dignity. Tourist groups constantly come to its territory, because there really is something to admire here.
