Pylypets
Pilipets is a village in the Transcarpathian region of Ukraine, known for its beautiful mountain scenery, as well as well-equipped infrastructure for skiing holidays.
Near the village is the Poloniny Borzhava mountain range, in which the nearest mountains are Gemba (1,497 meters), Magura-Zhide (1,505 meters), Veliky Verh (1,598 meters), Ryapetska (1,210 meters). In addition to the mountains in the village, it will be interesting to see the local Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, built of spruce timber without nails back in 1762. The building belongs to the Greek Catholic Church and entry is possible only on Sundays. Another famous attraction is the Shipot waterfall, about 14 meters high, located in the reserve of the same name near the village. The waterfall consists of several cascades, and the water temperature in it does not rise above 8 degrees even in summer. During the celebration of Ivan Kupala, the Shipot youth festival takes place at the waterfall.
The village of Pilipets has everything for a comfortable winter holiday: 20 kilometers of equipped trails, 7 lifts, cafes, snowmobile rental points, skis, if desired, you can even ride in a sleigh with horses. Novice skiers are advised by experienced instructors. All ski trails are prepared by a special machine for compacting snow cover (snowmobile). There's enough snow in the area to just leisurely ski through the woods.
The picturesque slopes of the Carpathian Mountains attract many tourists even in summer. After all, this is the time when nature comes to life and everything is covered with a blanket of flowers and shrubs. In spring, snowdrops and daffodils begin to bloom, followed by saffron, lush thickets of magnolia, sakura, rhododendron, and crocus. You can look at all this by choosing a route that suits you, which are perfectly marked. The fresh mountain air will only help to lift your mood and boost your energy. You can walk around the surroundings of the village of Pilipets not only on foot, because for tourists there are rental points for ATVs and motorcycles, bicycles, you can also go horseback riding or ride in a carriage.
