The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia is one of the interactive museums in Pennsylvania. Of course, this is not the most popular place in the country, but its importance cannot be overestimated – it is dedicated to the history and legacy of the basic law of America, which has the highest legal force.
History of creation
The institution was created to raise not only awareness, but also understanding of the Constitution in accordance with the Law on its Legacy, which was approved by President Ronald Reagan. The foundation of the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia was laid in 2000, on the 213th anniversary of the signing of the United States Basic Law with the highest legal force. The construction work took 3 years. It is symbolic that the opening of the center, whose main purpose is to disseminate information about the American Constitution, took place on Independence Day, July 4, 2003.

Ralph Appelbaum Associates designed the educational center and exhibition hall, which occupies 14,864.48 square meters, along with the gallery. American products, including Indiana limestone, were used during the construction work.
The National Constitution Center in Philadelphia is located next to the Liberty Bell in the most historic square mile of the United States, where important objects related to the revolution and the history of the creation of the state are located. There are no other Constitution centers in Philadelphia. In the halls, you can view photographs and texts that reflect the history of the law and its significance for society.
Main expositions
It should be noted right away that the original Constitution is not here, it is kept in the archive in Washington. But in addition to visiting the Philadelphia exhibition, visitors can use educational resources to study civil rights both offline and online.
The first exhibit in the main museum exhibit is a 17-minute theatrical performance. Viewers are shown the creation of the Constitution in 1787, why and what amendments have been made since then. Here, the United States' desire for freedom and equality of citizens, as well as increasing the patriotic spirit of the population, is clearly visible. The "History of Our People" exhibition at the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia consists of more than 100 exhibits. A copy of the Bill of Rights can be seen at the "Constituent Freedom" exhibition. Educational events and debates are held.

Admission is free for children under 5 years of age, the US military, including those who are retired.
