Duden Waterfall
Among the many beautiful places throughout Turkey is the most beautiful Duden waterfall, which flows through Antalya. Its name comes from the local river, thanks to which it exists. Duden waterfall is a natural attraction of the tourist city, which many travelers are in a hurry to taste.
The Antalya tourist route usually includes the Dudensky Waterfall, although there are at least 20 waterfalls in the country. It is the Dudensky waterfall that is in great demand among tourists, and its fame has spread all over the world.
Looking at the water streams of the waterfall, it simply takes your breath away from its beauty and splendor. It originates from the sources of Kirkgesler and Pinarbashi. Combining, the turbulent cascades of water form a kind of funnel. The entire stream of water runs through the dungeon for a distance of 14 km, after which it goes outside, and then goes back into the dungeon.
The well–known Duden waterfalls of Antalya are active streams of water that are divided into upper and lower waterfalls. The amazing beauty of the upper water fireworks falls from a 20-meter mountain hill, forming a lake from which the water is directed to the sea.
The waterfall is surrounded by a magnificent coniferous forest, where the air is especially saturated. There are also many different caves near this remarkable place, which are shrouded in centuries-old history.
The lower waterfall is located 10 km from the city, it is no less famous and beautiful. Its rushing streams of water fall from a height of 40 m. and fall into the sea. Tourists simply adore this place, because right on the beach, under the sun, you can watch this amazing miracle of nature. The noise from the Duden waterfall is clearly audible on the entire adjacent beach.
The lower waterfall is known locally as the "falling watermelon." There is a legend associated with this folk name, which tells that there was a time when it rained so heavily that fields with watermelons were flooded, and a strong water current washed them away into the open sea. That's exactly where this slightly wondrous name came from.
With the help of local authorities, this natural landmark has turned into a real paradise, which is so loved by vacationers from all over the world.
