Muang Boran

History of creation

The idea of opening a park with “travel in space and time” came to the mind of a millionaire from Thailand. Also historical sources tell us that Muang Boran was supposed to become a golf course, this was written in the map form of Thailand, but plans changed. The Leke Viriyaphanta park plans were more liked. He invested $200 million in the project, after which Muang Boran Park appeared.

The history of the park begins in 1960; it was in this year that the construction of the park was planned. On the territory you can see: many copies and miniatures of the sights of Thailand, they are significantly reduced, but look quite realistic. There are rare exhibits that were destroyed in real life; they are also very close to real historical objects.

Brief description

In Muang Boran Park, it is worth paying attention to the replica of the house of King Rama V. There is a legend that he actually lived for a long period of time in this place. Inside the temple, located on its territory, you might have noticed a rather strange interior, uncharacteristic for all temples. It looks like a small museum. When it comes to the design of Muang Boran Park, much can be said. But the most memorable are the lakes in the garden, the amazing fountains and rocks. All tourists recommend coming here in warm weather, as the gardens are filled with lush greenery and mirror-like ponds.

Since the area is very large and it is almost impossible to see everything at once, it is therefore recommended to make a plan for visiting the park, or you should consider renting a bicycle. Tourists also took boats or local colorful trams; in the photo it looks very aesthetically pleasing, so this is an alternative option to see more beauties. One of the interesting facts is that construction continues today, and some of the exhibits in Muang Boran Park are listed in UNESCO.
