Generalife

The gardens of Generalife, where in the past the residence of the monarchs of the Nasrid dynasty was located, are located in the wonderful Spanish city of Granada. This historical complex is located on the Serro del Sol hill and is the oldest part of the city, and also bears the status of an ancient garden of the Moorish era. The sad and park complex of Generalife occupies its place of honor among the attractions of the world located on UNESCO lists.

Generalife

Regarding the origin of Generalif, there is a legend that says the following: the Moorish ruler was predicted that his heir would cease to enjoy life as soon as he met and fell in love with a woman. The king, in order to avoid misfortune, decided to settle his son in Generalif so that this meeting would not happen.

The garden and park ensemble was erected in 1319, but after that it was transformed many times. This most grandiose attraction of Granada consists of magnificent buildings, including wonderful castles, as well as luxurious ancient gardens.

Generalife

In Generalif, there is a wonderful cypress alley, which was built relatively recently. The original appearance of the gardens is very different from the modern one, because only the terraces on which the ancient park complex was divided are preserved. These terraces led to the very top of the hill, with which a view of the wonderful man-made area opened.

The gardens of the Generalife – are just a charming place where you can have a good time among the beautiful greenery and freshness provided by the local ponds and fountains. The entrance to this parking-garden complex, which is surrounded by terraces, is two patios. Among them, there is one that brings Asekiyya to the Court, which is the main structure of the complex. A magnificent Royal pond is dug along the perimeter of the Court, which provides water to the entire circle of Generalife and Alhambra. Spray of the water of the local fountains fly apart from the channel, which creates a very attractive sight. In the local courtyard, cypress trees, samshites, laurels, as well as wonderful rose bushes, cloves and other charming plants grow.

Passing the Asekiyya Palace, the road leads to a small port through which you can get to the Royal Hall, which embellishes clay stucco. There are exits from the beautiful hall that lead to galleries where the works of the Renaissance are presented.

A magnificent combination of garden plants and wonderful structures is simply striking in their layout, harmony, as well as the relaxed atmosphere, where there is a feeling of time immemorial.
