Muradymovskoe gorge
Muradymov gorge is the most picturesque corner of Bashkiria in the valley of the Bolshoy Ik River. The gorge is a natural park, and its area is 236 km2.
The relief of the park has been formed for millions of years under the influence of tectonic processes. As a result of the movements of the earth's crust, mounds and grabens were formed, and limestone rocks were easily washed away by water, therefore, at least 46 caves can be found in the Muradimov gorge. The most famous and well-studied caves are Golubinaya, Staromuradymovskaya, Detskaya, Storozhevaya. The longest of all caves is Novomuradymovskaya. It is best to visit it in summer or winter, the rest of the time there is a lot of water in it. In some caves, scientists have discovered the sites of ancient people. And the Ice cave is interesting because it contains ice all year round, about half a meter thick.
The park has a very rich flora and fauna. Here you can find at least 500 varieties of plants, of which 45 are included in the Red Book of the Bashkir ASSR. The animal world has 40 representatives, among which lynxes stand out: brown bears, martens, weasels, ermines, moose, wild boars. There are many hares and rusaks in the Muradimov Gorge, and squirrels, chipmunks, and ground squirrels run through forests and meadows. At least 120 species of birds can be counted in the natural park during the nesting season, and 9 species of fish live in the rivers of the park.
Strict rules apply on the territory of the park. In particular, it is forbidden to cut down trees, litter, hunt, make a fire in the forest, or use torches in caves. The park has special playgrounds for tourists. Entrance to the park and caves is paid.
