Adler Arena
Adler Arena is a sports complex in the Sochi Olympic Park, it is located in close proximity to the sea coast. The construction of the arena began in 2010 and was completed according to plan in 2012.
Short description
In place of Adler Arena, there used to be a skating training ground, it was called the "Oval". The indoor skating center consists of two independent running tracks. It can accommodate up to 8,000 spectators in its stands. The athletes have 15 spacious locker rooms, rooms for referees and coaches, rooms for the press and administrative needs. The facade of Adler Arena is completely made of special stained glass, which makes the whole building very light and airy, despite its impressive size. Its height is 25 meters, on which there are two spacious floors with high ceilings.
Features of Adler Arena
To test the readiness of the Adler Arena sports complex, the Russian All-Around Speed Skating Championships were held on its premises in 2012, and the World Speed Skating Championships were organized here in 2013. After the 22nd Winter Olympic Games, the arena was decided to be renovated, and today there is a table tennis center in this place.
Adler Arena is located in the Adler district of Sochi, you can get here by bus or minibus, you need to get off at the Adler Arena bus stop. The alternative name of the facility is the Olympic Oval or Sirius Arena. If you get lost, you can ask the locals for directions, and they will help you navigate in an unfamiliar place.
