The Dead Sea is the most salty body of water in the world. It is called dead because, due to the large composition of salt, representatives of fauna and flora do not live here. The formed salt crust in the vicinity of the coast does not make it possible to grow either trees or plants. The sea has other names – Salt, Asphalt. The dimensions of the Dead Sea are 76 km in length and 18 km in width, the maximum depth reaches 400 meters.
Located 415 meters below sea level, the pond is the lowest point on the planet. Due to the dry hot climate, evaporation significantly exceeds water intake, and as a result, a constant decrease in level continues. In this case, only water evaporates, and salts remain, increasing the concentration of salinity. Everyone who visits here can see this. In the pond you can calmly lie, sit without any effort for this. Here you can completely relax, feel all the weightlessness of your body. It’s hard enough to swim and dive.
