Guangzhou Yuan
Guangzhou-Yuan is located on the banks of the Zhejiang River. This is a high-rise building in the Chinese city of Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, built in 2013. Locals have noticed that upon arrival in Guangzhou, many tourists first go to look at the ancient temples, which are filled with the rich history of China. Often, many people simply forget that there are interesting modern cultural facilities in the city.
History of creation
Guangzhou-Yuan is a project by the Italian architect Joseph di Pasquale. The building is 138 meters high and has an area of 8,500 square meters. The landmark was only 12 meters short of the status of a skyscraper, but this does not prevent it from being an interesting and recognizable monument of modern architecture. But he holds another record - the diameter of the "hole" inside, which is 48 meters.
Despite the modernity of the building, the architectural concept of Guangzhou Yuan is closely intertwined with Chinese mythology and numerology. The shape of the building is associated with Chinese numerology and the sacred meaning of jade discs. Jade was a symbol of high social status and served as a pointer to the moral qualities of the owner. The double jade discs were used in religious services and confirmed the exclusive power of their owners. At one time, they were the symbol of the ruling dynasty of this area. When reflected in the river, a figure eight or infinity sign is formed. This is a lucky number in Chinese culture, it is believed that it brings monetary prosperity and wealth.
Features of Guangzhou-Yuan
The facades of the building are made of glass and metal plates, the side walls consist of rectangular glass inserts. Guangzhou-Yuan has 33 floors, the last one has a helipad. The central element of the complex is the stock exchange hall, which is located from the 7th to the 9th floor, below the central opening.
Almost all floors are occupied by office space, with the exception of the first floor, where there is a large hall, and the sixth floor, which is a multifunctional conference room. The underground parking occupies two floors and accommodates 600 cars. Currently, most of the offices include the companies Guangdong Plastic Exchange and Hong Da Xing Ye Group. The first company specializes in the sale of plastic, and the second organization is a chemical corporation. The building also houses a 7* hotel, and the hotel's terrace is located directly in the Guangzhou-Yuan opening. For tourists who are residents of the hotel, the path is more open, but anyone can go up to the terrace and sit there.

Address: Liwan district, Guangzhou yuan road, 1. It is most convenient to get to Guangzhou Yuan by taxi, but you can also use the subway. The nearest station is Hedong Station, located 6 kilometers away, but if you are not in a hurry, you can combine a visit with a walk around the city.
