What interesting things you can see
Construction of the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall was completed in 1931, 6 years after the death of the politician. It was built over two years at the expense of fellow countrymen and emigrants who were close to the views of Sun Yat-sen. The design of the hall was created by a Chinese architect, a native of Guangzhou, Lu Yanzhi. The Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall is located in Yuexiu Park, it has an octagon shape and an area of more than 6500 m2. An attempt to compare the classical architectural form of those times with new construction methods turned out to be successful and made it possible to build a building without columns to support the ceiling.
