Köprülü National Park
Köprülü is a Turkish national park 60 km from the city of Belek. It was founded in 1973 on an area of 5 km2. The basis of the park is the Köprül mountain river with the canyon of the same name. The bulk of the park’s land consists of impermeable cedar and pine forests.
One of the main attractions of the park is the Köprülu River. Once in ancient times, the river had a different name Eurimedonte. The main tributaries of the river are mountain streams, due to which the river collects water and the place of injection in the Mediterranean Sea, the volume of flowing water is 86 m3. There are 7 canyons throughout the Köprülu River. Her cool blue waters attract a lot of rafting lovers. On the banks of the river there were many restaurants. In the Köprülu National Park, a rich flora grows, more than 600 species of plants grow here, out of 30 they do not meet anywhere else. Under the crowns of trees there are more than 100 species of birds. Of these, it is worth noting eagles, vultures, golden eagles, sipuh. Of the large mammals in the park, it often comes across: deer, wolf, bear, mountain goat, wild boar, fox and hare.
Everything is arranged for active recreation in Köprül. Here they will find suitable places for themselves raftingists, climbers, horse riding enthusiasts. The park management often organizes guided tours of the Köprühl River. Another tour takes place in the cave of Altynbeše Magarashi.
