Valdaysky National Park
Valdaisky is the national park of Russia, which was founded in 1990. The park was created to preserve the unique lake-forest complex of the Valdai Upland and form a microclimate for the formation of cultural recreation in the area. Chic Lanschafts come across in the park, as well as monuments of the historical, archaeological, cultural heritage of Russia spread over an area of 1585 km2. About 120,000 travelers are annually on the lands of Valdaisky Park. They are attracted to Valdai natural heritage sites. In Valdai Park, over two hundred lakes, in which there is a wide variety of fish: pike, molting, karasiki, rafts, rags, ruffles, cherries, jogs. The animal world is even more diverse here. In this park you can meet moose, veprey, badgers, brown bears, hares, foxes, marten and lynx. As well as other animals that are related to living in water: beavers, otters, rats and ducks. In addition, you can also meet wolves here.
The plant world of the Valdaisky National Park is represented by pine trees, spruce, birch trees, also come across with ash, variety, flattery, with dry bows and horse bogs. On the land of Valdaiso National Park there are a huge number of 82 different cultural and historical monuments of the Novgorod region - ancient parking lots, townships, mounds and hills.
There are approximately 9 monuments of landscape gardening: 22 of the most valuable architectural monuments from the 17th to the 19th centuries; ancient estates along with parks. Among which is the Iversky Virgin of Svyatozersky Monastery, which was founded in 1653 on Selvice Island; a church called Catherine in the city of Valdai, which today houses the Valdai Museum of History. This church was erected in 1793, according to the project of the famous architect N.A. Lviv. The church is a monument of architectural Russian classicism. In the village, nicknamed Nikolskoye, the 1st fish factory in Russia is located. Nearby is the city of Valdai, which is a historical attraction - in 1996 it turned about 500 years old.
