A brief history
It is caused by the complex global situation in which the arms race took place. In this regard, Russia has adopted a program for the development of the navy, during which it was also planned to build several combat cruisers. The Baltic Shipyard took over the work on the construction of ships. Nicholas II personally gave one of the cruisers the name Aurora. The launching of the cruiser took place at the very beginning of the 20th century and took place in a solemn atmosphere - the ceremony was attended by the entire family of the emperor, as well as the entire military leadership of the empire. The Aurora cruiser has seen a lot of combat and military campaigns.
Three years after the Aurora Cruiser was launched, its tests began, during which the ship experienced many difficulties - a storm, technical problems, and so on were experienced. After the tests, it was decided to carry out new work, during which it was possible to fix many problems.
The pride of the Fleet

The Aurora cruiser participated in various military operations more than once - the fighting in the Far East as part of Rear Admiral Virenius, during which Aurora visited Suez, Piraeus, Bizerte, Djibouti and many other places. Aurora also participated in the Second Pacific Squadron. However, the cruiser underwent major combat operations during the First World War, where the ship performed well in the war against the Germans and the Japanese. Also during the Russian Revolution, the Cruiser Aurora was captured by the Bolsheviks. After Aurora's participation in various military operations, repairs began to be carried out with her, which continued until 2018, when a ship's temple was erected on the ship, where divine services are held on idle days.
