Tsingy de Bemaraha
Qingji du Bemaraha – a reserve located in Madagascar. It covers an area of 1520 km2. The main goal of organizing the – reserve is the preservation of unique karst landscapes and rare species of animals. Natural park has existed since 1927.
In this place, the plateau of limestone is presented in the form of « stone forest », and the local river, with the name Manambolo, complements the natural picture by flowing along the canyon. Translated by Qingji du Bemaraha, it sounds like « tiptoe ».
From the tops of thirty meter limestone rocks, you can observe amazing landscapes. Stone thickets with sharp tops are everywhere in the park. Between them, at the very bottom of the gorge, a palm grove has grown, which boasts a diverse animal world. Here, safaki look like soft toys carefree.
The entire Tsingji du Bemaraha Nature Reserve can be divided into two parts with small and large cinges. Small ones, located right at the entrance to the park, and to see large ones, you need to go through another 17 km of the park area. Of course, looking at huge dumplings will be much more interesting, but in order to get to them you need to spend as much as three hours on a hike. If you still decide to see these natural attractions, then you need to take care of comfortable durable shoes in advance, and take enough water on the trip itself. The tour does not necessarily take place with a high-rise area, for those who do not like the height, an equally fascinating trekking with lowland forest trails is possible. Here, visitors to Qingji du Bemaraha can meet lemurs with chameleons.
At the very foot of the rocky forest, one can observe wonderful pictures of nature, which make up various gorges with mysterious caves, as well as chic deciduous forests. The transparent waters of the local Monambolo River flow through the territory of the reserve and are an integral part of it. The entire natural park is saturated with a wide variety of plants, including mangroves, as well as many other representatives of the flora. The local water flows originating at the foot of the stone pillars are so clean that they serve the locals with food water.
You need to advance on a tour accompanied by a guide, since the probability of getting lost is very high. Here, the highest stone peaks can be baffled quite quickly, which cannot be overcome without special equipment. But there are pluses of such inaccessibility for armed people, because this territory is inhabited by very rare animals.
Rare birds live in the Tsingji du Bemaraha Nature Reserve, the total number of which is 53 species. Here there are quite rare species of lemurs and reptiles. Among tourists, canoeing along the Monambolo River is often in demand.
