Museum Island
Museum Island is located in Berlin on the north side of Spreeinzel Island on the coast of the River Spree. The entire museum complex has five architectural elements. It is considered the center of world art and contains exhibits dating from ancient times to the twentieth century.
The Old Museum was the first to be built, it was erected in 1830 by order of Frederick William III. 29 years later, another building appeared – the Prussian Royal Museum. Today it has been renamed the New Museum. The next one was built in 1876 by the National Gallery. In the twentieth century, the last two structures were erected – in 1904, the Bode Museum and in 1930, the Pergamon Museum. It took a century to build the entire complex. The entire complex of museum buildings has been called the "Museum Island" since the 70s of the 19th century. The museum Island suffered a lot during the Second World War. Restoration work was carried out to maintain the complex.

The new museum is considered to be the most affected during the period of military operations. The building is currently undergoing reconstruction, and after the restoration work is completed, the papyrus collection and the Egyptian Museum exhibit will be presented. The main attraction of the exhibition is the sculpture of Queen Nefertiti. Her only one is forbidden to take pictures.

On three floors you can see a collection of paintings and sculptures from the 19th century. You can consider the masterpieces of the Berlin artist Adolf von Menzel.
The Bode Museum was renovated in 2006. A pedestrian bridge has been erected in front of this building with an unusual dome, passing through which you can get to the island of museums.
