Marble Caves

Marble caves are located in Lake Buenos Aires on the border of Chile and Argentina in the Patagonian Andes. The Marble Cathedral is a marble cave that is located in the middle of the lake on an island with limestone.

Scientists believe that approximately 6,200 years ago, marble caves began to form due to the waves of the lake.
