Stanley Park

Stanley Park – Vancouver Green Park. This place is a true pride of citizens who are happy to offer to taste it to travelers from other countries. More than 8 million people visit him every year.

Stanley Park has existed since 1886, at which time there were impenetrable forests. The name of the park was received in honor of the ruler of that time – Lord Stanley. Garden landscape specialists never worked on the park area, but rather, the organizers tried to preserve the virgin nature. Located almost in the middle of a bustling city, he is always happy with the guests.

The forest is considered the main part of the park, with its pristine representatives. Unique specimens of trees grow here, the height of which reaches 76 meter mark. Of course, their felling is strictly prohibited, but they have repeatedly been subjected to natural disasters, in particular storms, after which several valuable trees were uprooted.

For visitors, from April to September, there is a good opportunity to enjoy the flowering of beautiful roses in the local rosary. These wonderful flowers will not leave indifferent a single vacationing Stanley Park. The park also houses a huge aquarium, where whales, dolphins and many other species of fish live.

A little earlier, a zoo was also located here, its remaining animals roam freely in the territory of Stanley Park, because local workers take care of them.

A large number of posts, statues and various monuments were built in the park, which is dedicated to the most important events, as well as to great people. Here is a monument to Lord Stanley, in honor of which this park is named. Since 2006, there has been a decree that prohibits the placement of any posts in the park so as not to overflow the green zone.

There is something to rejoice in the park and children, because here is a huge modern playground. Both children and adults will have an interesting tour on the local small train that runs through forest thickets.

Stanley Park does not bypass both lovers of various sports and young couples with children. Noisy youth companies often gather here, but there is also a place for single dreamers.
