Miniatürk
In the capital of Turkey, in beautiful Istanbul, there is a miniature park called Miniaturik. This is the largest park in the whole world, the highlight of which are the most wonderful historical monuments, reduced by exactly 25 times. Its area is 100,000 m2, on which there are more than 100 wonderful works that were created day after day by talented craftsmen, both from Turkey and abroad.
The Miniaturist is still very young, its opening date is April 23, 2003. The work is increasing every year, and soon, as planned, the number of historical buildings in the park will reach 400.
Visiting a park of this kind will bring a lot of pleasure, here in one day you can taste many architectural sights that are scattered in different parts of Turkey itself and other countries. In the Miniature there is an opportunity to see those structures that no longer exist in reality. Such objects include the Temple of Artemis, the remains of which are represented only in the Museum of London. You can also see the beautiful Mostar Bridge here, which was actually blown up during the recent military operations.
This park has a good transport interchange, which includes a railway with running trains, a highway with moving vehicles, an airport with wonderful airplanes, and even ships sailing on the water, but, of course, all this in miniature.
There are a lot of different structures in Miniaturik Park, which include the Galata Tower, which in reality reaches 61 meters, St. Sophia Cathedral, which is a symbol of the "golden age" of Byzantium, the Blue Mosque, the original of which is located near the Marmara Sea, where the historical center of Istanbul is located. The twin brothers of various palaces and churches, including Topkapi Palace and Dolmabahce, as well as St. Irene's Church and many other buildings that attract crowds of tourists, also have their place of honor on the territory of the Miniature.
With the help of a special sound system, which is equipped with architectural monuments, you can listen to all the information related to this building. To do this, you just need to insert your card card into a special slot. The text referring to this historical building may be in Turkish and English. Beautiful melodies are constantly playing in the park, which come from the speakers, which are successfully disguised as stones located on the edges of the paths.
In the evening, Miniaturized Park is transformed, as its paths and all exhibits are illuminated with colorful lights.
The miniature was loved not only by adult visitors, but also by children. There are playgrounds for them here, where there is a wooden Trojan horse. Also, the little guests of the park are lured by the local electric miniature train, which can accommodate 24 children.
After spending a great time in Istanbul's miniature park, tourists can dine in the local restaurants and cafes.
