Sardinia
Sardinia is the name of a Mediterranean island located between Sicily and Corsica in Italy. The island has a wonderful coastline with white loose sand and clear sea water. Sardinia is also famous for its beautiful landscapes, which are filled with sheer cliffs, gorgeous palm trees, and gorgeous pastures over which predatory eagles soar.
One of the legends says that it was here that the Lord himself first set foot. The island got its name Sardinia from the ancient Greeks, who named it due to its shape, which reminded them of a sandal. In ancient times, many civilizations were concentrated in this area, as a result of which there are ruins of various architectural structures. Sardinia has Roman amphitheatres, Pisa fortresses, Genoese towers, Phoenician necropolises, various churches and cathedrals. But the highlight of the island is the Nuraghi, which are close to 20 thousand years old. They are fortresses with separate cone-shaped towers. The stones served as the material for such a structure. During the construction of these architectural structures of the ancient people, not a single nail was involved. Such buildings have not been found anywhere else in the world, and there are more than 7,000 here.
