Écrins National Park

Ecrins is a national park in France occupying the Western Alps, containing the Pelva mountain range, which houses a nature reserve with the same name. The park was founded in 1963 on an area of 918 km2. The borders of the park run along the rivers Romansh, Durance, Guizan and Drak. The height of the mountains reaches 4,100 meters, and there are also more than a hundred mountains in the park with a height of more than 3,000 meters. Many mountains have glaciers, of which there are more than 40 with a total area of 170 km2.

The relief of the Ekren National Park is glacial-nival, in it you can find troughs, lakes, lakes, river valleys. Geographically, the park is divided into 7 sections and 7 valleys, where you can find forests of pine and oak, subalpine and alpine meadows, and wastelands where more than 3,000 plants grow. Among the animals in the park you can meet: chamois, Alpine marmot, golden eagle, wild boars, foxes, wolves. Many of them need protection.

Tourism is very well developed in Ekren Park, over 700 km of trails have been laid, on which 30 shelters have been set up. It is worth considering that the park has very strict rules for non-compliance with which a serious fine can be imposed. It is forbidden to bring dogs into the park, collect plants and take animals with them, it is forbidden to throw out garbage, light bonfires and use vehicles using petroleum products.
