Yemen

Yemen is located in Southwest Asia. More than 30 million people live here. Most profess Islam. The official language is Arabic. The country covers over half a million square kilometers. It is washed by the waters of the Red and Arabian Seas, the Indian Ocean. The capital is Sanaa. The city is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The climate is tropical. The best time to visit Yemen is from September to October and from April to May. When traveling, take sunglasses, light, closed clothing and comfortable shoes. Women in open swimsuits can appear on the beaches at hotels. Swimwear must be worn on other beaches.

In addition to relaxing at sea, you can go on excursions to historical places. Boat tours, trekking in the mountains and deserts, fishing, snorkeling, diving, and camel rides are popular among outdoor enthusiasts. Public transport is poorly developed, but taxis work well.

Alcohol is not liked in the country. Throughout Yemen, with the exception of Sanaa and Aden, the sale of alcoholic beverages is strictly prohibited. Coffee is a popular drink. This is the birthplace of mocha. Gourmets advise trying local fish, semolina tortilla and spicy tomato salad.
