Kyrgyzstan
Kyrgyzstan is located in Central Asia. It occupies the 85th place in the world in terms of area (almost 200 thousand square kilometers). More than 6 million people live here. The official language is Kyrgyz, but many people understand Russian. The climate is sharply continental.
Kyrgyzstan is called the country of contrasts because in rural areas people travel on horses and old buses, and in cities you can see a lot of modern cars. Religious temples are adjacent to futuristic buildings. Many buildings of Soviet architecture have been preserved.
Mountains occupy most of the territory. In winter, you can come to the republic to ski or snowboard. The ski season lasts until mid-April. Tours to historical sites are popular in autumn. Kyrgyzstan is especially beautiful in spring. The country is covered with blooming fields. There are many festivals in summer, you can try to live like nomads in yurts and relax by Lake Issyk-Kul. There are hot mineral springs near the lake shore.
