Since the 13th century, members of the royal family lived in the castle. A long alley was laid from the borders of the park to Windsor Park, seated by paired rows of elm, with monuments, ancient Roman ruins exported from Libya. Queen Victoria played a significant role in the restructuring of the park, which, after the death of her husband, entered the Frogmore House. They immediately built a mausoleum in which she and her husband rest.

During World War II, part of the trees of Windsor Park were cut down, the deer park was swollen to grow potatoes and wheat. Virginia Water Lake was drained, as it could become a guide for bombers. During the war, approximately 200 aerial bombs fell on the park’s lands, and a pair of Fau-2 missiles fell.
