Garden of Cosmic Speculation
The Garden of Cosmic Speculation is located on the southwestern side of Scotland and is the most original place on earth. The creation of this garden arose in the idea of architect Charles Jenkson and his wife, landscape designer Maggie Keswick. They wanted to create a place, one of a kind, where everything would remind of the Universe, the process of its formation and development. The idea of the park – is the Universe in miniature. This idea came true in 1989.
The landscape of the garden consists of 5 zones, which are surrounded by water bodies, elevations and valleys of various shapes. Throughout the territory there are sculptural compositions symbolizing scientific discoveries. The entire space reflection garden – is a unique art object with unique components. Flowers do not grow in it, birds do not sing, and only exotic flora is found. The discoveries of mathematics, geometry, physics, chemistry, astronomy are displayed on the landscape territory of the space judgment garden. Here you can consider mathematical formulas, geometric tasks, scientific hypotheses, everything that science has achieved.
The location of the steps in various versions symbolizes the evolutionary development of the universe. The biggest staircase personifies all stages of the revival and evolution of the universe. Climbing the stairs, you can consider illustrations that depict life forms. Numerous spirals are the personification of the DNA chain, various atmospheric phenomena. An interesting shape of aluminum flower beds displays black holes.
The design of the space reflection garden is created in the style of Chinese philosophy, a feature of which are smooth and wavy lines. The garden promotes all the contradictions and paradoxes of the Universe, which allows us to think about a more sublime and global than our daily bustle of life. The main slogan of the space reflection garden is the reflection itself. Here involuntarily thinks about the meaning of life, both physical and spiritual, cosmic. This park – is a continuous paradox to understand something, you need to reflect. In order to rise to a hill, you need to go down and vice versa. Tired of reflection, you can take a break in the gazebo of Meaninglessness. But they don’t stay here for a long time, since the garden of cosmic thoughts is personal property, tourists enter the park 1 day a year. Therefore, one must hurry to consider everything, and solve at least some part of the secrets of nature.
