Miniatürk
In the capital of Turkey, in beautiful Istanbul, there is a miniature park called Miniature. This is the largest park in the whole world, the person of which is the wonderful historical monuments, reduced by exactly 25 times. Its area is 100,000 m.2, which has more than 100 wonderful works, that day after day talented masters, both Turkey and foreign ones, created.
The miniature is still young, the date of its opening is April 23, 2003. Work is increasing every year, and soon, as planned, the number of historical buildings in the park will reach 400.
Visiting a park of this kind will bring a lot of pleasure, here in one day you can taste many architectural attractions that are scattered in different parts, both Turkey and other countries. In the Miniature there is an opportunity to see those structures that are no longer in reality. Such objects include the Artemis Temple, the remains of which are presented only in the London Museum. Here you can also see the beautiful bridge « Mostar », which in fact was blown up during recent military operations.
This park presents a good transport interchange, which includes the railway, with running trains, the motorway on which vehicles, the airport, with wonderful planes, and even ships sailing on water, but, of course, all this is in miniature.
There are a lot of different structures in the Miniature park, which include the Galatian Tower, which in reality reaches 61 meters, the Cathedral of Hagia Sophia, which is a symbol of « golden age » Byzantium, the Blue Mosque, the original of which, located near the marble sea, where the historical center of Istanbul is located. On the territory of the Miniature, the brothers – twins of various palaces, churches, including the Topkapa and Dolmabahce Palace, as well as the Church of St. Irina and many other buildings that lure crowds of tourists, also have their place of honor.
Using a special sound system, which is equipped with architectural monuments, you can listen to all the information regarding this structure. To do this, you just need to insert your card ticket into a special connector. The text in which this historical structure is discussed may sound in Turkish and English. The park constantly sounds beautiful melodies that come from columns that are successfully camouflaged under the guise of stones located along the edges of the paths.
In the evening, the Miniature Park is being transformed, as its paths and all exhibits are illuminated by colorful lights.
Miniature was loved not only by adult visitors, but also by children. For them, playgrounds are equipped where the wooden Trojan horse is located. Also, the local electric miniature train lures the small guests of the park, which can accommodate 24 children.
After spending great time in Istanbul's miniature park, tourists can dine at local restaurants and cafes.
